Food
Burmese traditionally eat a morning meal and an evening meal that is taken before dark. The meals are served in a large platter or on a low table, with members of the household sitting on mats. Food is eaten with the fingers, although sometimes utensils are used.
Tea shops are found in every city, town, and large village. These establishments are important locales for social gathering. Street stalls sell a variety of foods in the cities and towns. The majority of restaurants serve Indian or Chinese food, and only few serve Burmese food
Mohinga is the name of the traditional breakfast soup served in Myanmar.

traditionaly, a meal will be served with a bowl of fresh chillies and garlic cloves that will be eaten raw.
